What is a Name Server?
When you register a domain, you are ultimately registering a word or phrase that references a particular IP address. A name server is a service that researches those words or phrases and directs web browsers (or another application) how to find the machine that the domain is intended to point to.
Top of page ^What is a Name Server Report? How much does it cost?
Name Server Reports create a full list of .com, .net, .org, .biz, .us, and .info domains on any name server that DomainTool's monitors. The output is a CSV file containing the domain and whether it was the primary or secondary name server. When reports are ordered they are put into a queue for processing. The time it takes to create the report depends on how large the queue is. You will be emailed when the report has completed processing. The cost of a report is dependent upon the size of the report. you will be provided the cost of the report prior to submitting to the Shopping Cart.
To request a Name Server Report quote:- Navigate to Name Server Report.
- Scroll down and enter the Name Server into the Report Order Form search bar.
- Click Get Prices. Results appear detailing the Name Server, total servers and price of the report.
- Click Add to Cart to order the report.
