Registrant Search hasn't gone anywhere, we've just renamed it. The product formerly known as Registrant Search is now called Reverse Whois Lookup. It has all the functionality it had before - it still finds the domain names owned by a specific company or individual - but it now has a more descriptive name.

What is Reverse WHOIS?
Reverse Whois is a tool that allows you to search for domains by the name, address, telephone number, email address or physical address of the Registrant listed in current or historical Whois records. When you perform a Reverse Whois, you will simply enter any of the Registrant's personal information and all domains with a Whois record containing that particular piece of information will be returned.
Top of page ^What can I do with my Reverse Whois Report?
Reverse Whois is a powerful tool that can help you to: Find out what intellectual property a company owns, has owned in the past, or what products or websites they may release in the near future. Find out what Internet properties an individual currently owns or has owned in the past. Search by name, email address or street address. Find local businesses or start-up companies. Search by postal code or city and state and Reverse Whois will return all domains currently and/or historically registered in that particular location.
Top of page ^How do I order a Reverse Whois report?
To order a Reverse Whois Report:
- Log in to your DomainTools account. Navigate to the Reverse Whois Lookup page.
- Enter search terms into the search boxes on the Reverse Whois Lookup page.
- Click Preview Report. The preview page offers you an outline of how many current and historical records are available containing the search terms entered. The preview page also contains a price for ordering current or current and historical records. Because this tool performs a search, units cannot be used as payment; you must pay for Reverse Whois reports separately.
- To order a report after previewing, click the Order Current or Order Historical link. You will be directed to your DomainTools Shopping Cart where you can then verify your order(s), select your method of payment, and place your order.
My report is a few months old; how can I update the results without purchasing a new report?
Search reports occur on a one-time basis. To update your Reverse Whois report results, you must purchase an new report. You can run a new report using the same search terms as a previous report by clicking on the 'My Reverse Whois Reports' tab from the Reverse Whois page. This tab contains information, status and pricing for all previously purchases Reverse Whois Reports. Click on a report to view the details of that reports and to purchase a new, updated report using the same search terms.

Because this tool performs a detailed search, they are not included with any paid membership you must pay for Reverse Whois reports separately. The price of any Reverse Whois Report is calculated as the sum of the prices of the current and historical domains in that report. Pricing tiers for current and historical domain is as follows:

- 101 - 250: $199
- 251 - 500: $299
- 501 - 1,000: $399
- 1,001 - 2,500:$499
- 2,501 - 5,000: $749
- 5,001 - 10,000: $999

To determine the exact cost of a Reverse Whois report, you must navigate to the Reverse Whois page, enter search terms into the spaces provided, and click the Preview Report button. The Preview link offers you an outline of how many current and historical records are available containing the search terms entered. The preview page also contains a price for ordering current or current and historical records.

Obtaining a Reverse Whois Report
How do I obtain my report once it is complete?
You can always access your Reverse Whois reports directly from the Reverse Whois page. Simply click on the 'My Reverse Whois Reports' tab to view and download the report results. We also provide a direct link from the 'Reports' box that is just to the right of the account user tabs on the My Account page. Click on the link for Reverse Whois Reports to go to the Reverse Whois main page where you can view and download the report information.
