Search the Database
What is Registrant Search?
DomainTools has the most extensive whois database on the internet containing
millions of full whois records dating back to 1995.
Registrant Search allows anyone to search through this massive
whois database using a registrant name, email address, physical
address, or phone number to return a list of domains that have that
search term in it.
What can I do with Registrant Search?
Business research can be done by searching for
a company name. You will be able to see which internet properties
that company owns, owned at one time, or which websites they may release soon.
Find people or track down fraud
by searching for someone's name, email address, or last
known physical address. Given one known piece of data you may be able to
find historical addresses, phone numbers, email addresses,
or even false names.
The date when the whois record was stored the data is also provided
so you can see when that contact information was used.
City searches can be done by running a postal code
through the database. Find businesses that have a website in a
given city or see who owns what domains in your home town.
Registrant Alert
Just Launched! Domain Tools now offers Registrant Alert which allows you to keep track of
new additions to your Registrant Searches. When a new whois record is found that matches your
search you will receive an email alert. Find new domain registrations or transfers for any company or

Pricing
Registrant search pricing is based on how many unique domains we found in
our database base on your query. After you do a report preview you will see the price
for the full result set.
The report includes the domain name that we found your search term
in and the date when we cached that whois record.
In order to see the cached whois record a Silver, Gold, or Elite membership
to DomainTools is needed.

Search Tips:
-
There are two different formats for names: "Firstname Lastname" AND "Lastname, Firstname".
You'll need to add first and last names in seperate boxes and try to include some geographic location as well.
-
Look at a current whois record to find unique information
to search for.
-
If you are still having trouble finding what you are looking for you
can create a support ticket and we'll help create a search query.
-
Wildcard email searches like "@example.com" do not return good results.
It is better to use a full email address or a company name like "Example, Inc."
