恒星
恆星是大質量、明亮的等离子体球。太陽是離地球最近的恆星，也是地球能量的來源。白天由於有太陽照耀，無法看到其他的恆星；只有在夜晚的時間，才能在天空中看見其他的恆星。恆星一生的大部分時間，都因為核心的核融合而發光。核融合所釋放出的能量，從內部傳輸到表面，然後輻射至外太空。幾乎所有比氫和氦更重的元素都是在恆星的核融合過程中產生的。
