Tim joined as CEO of DomainTools in 2009 and has spent 15 years leading the transformation of the company from an advertising based consumer service to a profitable and growing Enterprise SaaS security firm with over 800 global customers.

Prior to DomainTools, Tim spent over 10 years in business development executive roles with Internet and software companies in San Francisco, and four years in the Corporate Finance group at J.P. Morgan in New York. Originally from Rochester, New York, Tim is a graduate of Haverford College and Stanford Business School.

An experienced financial executive, Kirsten oversees DomainTools’ financial organization, as well as the human resources and operational teams. Kirsten’s innate and comprehensive understanding of DomainTools operations and financial standing are invaluable to producing detailed financial reporting for DomainTools’ shareholders and executive team. In addition, her long tenure at the company and deep understanding of its distinct culture are critical to her ability to retain and hire the Company’s greatest asset— its employees.

Prior to DomainTools, Kirsten spent 10 years in public accounting at Ernst & Young and also served as the Director of Technical Accounting for Getty Images. She is a graduate of the University of Washington, with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, and a second degree in French Linguistics.

Brian de Lemos began his security career in 2003 with RSA Security. After more than eleven years as a successful sales person, he moved into management, ultimately running the Threat Detection and Response and the Identity and Access business units. Brian worked in executive positions at Palo Alto Networks, running their Unit 42 sales organization and consults with various start-ups. He is a mission driven security go-to-market leader.

Brendan is an experienced Product leader specializing in business transformation and growth who joined the DomainTools team in 2024. He’s responsible for the strategy and delivery of our portfolio including the Research, Engineering, and Product organizations. With over 20 years in Cybersecurity, he brings a passion for doing right by our clients, and doing right by the broader community of Cybersecurity professionals.

Prior to DomainTools, Brendan held similar roles at IANS Research, Illusive (acquired by ProofPoint), and Forescout. He also co-founded FactorChain (acquired by SumoLogic), and was a longtime Product leader in Cisco’s security portfolio.

Daniel is a proven information security and privacy leader with over 20 years of operational and strategic information security practice in startup, higher education, government, and large enterprise settings. Active contributor to the information security and privacy community. Regular presenter, workshop trainer, facilitator, and invited speaker at InfoSec conferences. Focus areas are DNS, incident response, cyber threat intelligence, digital forensics, national security, information sharing, policy development, and risk management. Experienced liaison to federal, state and local law enforcement. Trusted contact for information security partnerships in Government, HigherEd, and Private sectors. InfoSec Mentor, University lecturer, and former REN-ISAC governance board member.

Jill Boon comes from a rich background of both startup and enterprise companies. Her enterprise experience was most recently at Amazon leading multiple recruiting teams. In the startup world she has held the VP of People in companies like Porch.com, where she enabled rapid growth from 30 – 500 in under 2 years and Mighty AI which ended in a successful acquisition by Uber. She is passionate about creating work environments that engage and inspire employees!

When she is not working, Jill loves being with her family at home on beautiful Bainbridge Island. She also loves riding her horse, hiking, cooking and gardening. She is a University of Washington graduate.

Sean M. McNee is the VP, Research & Data at DomainTools. Over his career, Sean has harnessed the power of machine learning and visual analytics to help people find the information they need to make better decisions, including academics, lawyers, and threat hunters & network defenders. He now looks for ways to make the Internet a better place. Sean received his PhD from the University of Minnesota where he researched personalization and recommender systems. For his research contributions, he was a winner of the 2010 ACM Software Systems Award.

Andy Rothery is an experienced global executive focused on transforming companies by using digital and content-enabled services. He works alongside the Battery private equity team to find and assess potential software and data-services investments in Europe. Prior to joining Battery, Andy ran his own consulting advisory company, Oculorum Ltd., which specialized in working with European private equity- and venture-backed companies in need of interim management services. Previously, he was the group CEO at JATO Dynamics Ltd., a global automotive market-intelligence company based in the U.K. Under his leadership, the company’s revenue grew from £35m to £81m through the introduction of new products, new sales channels and new services around the world. Before that, Andy served as the company’s interim COO.

Andy has also served as the interim sales director of E.ON UK Plc, the U.K.’s largest investor-owned power and gas company, and the commercial MD of Romeike Research Ltd. (now Cision Ltd.), a business-intelligence provider to the media/communications industry. In addition, Andy held key sales and marketing roles throughout Europe for Xerox Ltd.

Dave joined Battery in 1995. In 2016, he transitioned from a general partner to a senior advisor to the firm. In 2018, Dave returned full time to Battery as a private equity partner and is actively involved in all phases of the investment process. Over his time with the firm, Dave’s areas of interest have ranged from startups; such as creating BladeLogic (NASDAQ: BLOG, acquired by BMC) with an entrepreneur-in-residence; emerging companies, such as SingleHop; and buyouts, such as the take-privates of Consona (formerly Made2Manage Systems), Quovadx (resulting in Healthvision and Rogue Wave), Vero Software (acquired by Hexagon) and Forterro (formerly Jeeves). Dave has extensive experience with a variety of business models ranging from traditional license software to Software as a Service, as well as business services companies and exchanges. Prior to Battery, Dave worked for investment consulting firm Cambridge Associates, where he conducted research on the venture capital industry and evaluated venture capital firms for clients. Dave graduated from Dartmouth College.
