Jeremy C. Reed is an open source developer and was a director on The NetBSD Foundation board for ten years and co-founder of the BSD Certification Group. He is an author and editor of multiple technology books, including pfSense Essentials and the BIND DNS Administration Reference. Reed previously worked at ISC and participated in the development, release management, incident response, quality assurance, and training for BIND and DHCP. He has designed and implemented comprehensive DNS performance and auditing technologies, including for DNSSEC and IPv6, with extensive research in identifying security vulnerabilities with unmaintained DNS. Reed has given lectures and presentations over a hundred times, including at BSDCan, NYCBSDCon, Texas Linux Fest,and LinuxFest Northwest.
