Answer:
Certain terms are challenging to monitor without some cleverness. The biggest challenges come when terms are short (IBM, HP) and when they are generic (Apple, Orange). Short and generic is even tougher (ABC, Ford). And, as with PhishEye, Detect does not accept two-character terms. Here are some strategies for successfully monitoring these kinds of terms.
– Monitor the expanded version (“generalelectric” or “volkswagen”), acknowledging that this won’t always be a good fit, e.g. “internationalbusinessmachines”
– Monitor the term with expected/branded compounds, e.g. hpenterprise, ibmsolutions, abcnews, fordmotor
– Monitor the term with high-risk compounds, e.g. o365security, hpupdate, ibmlogin
