Mocktail of the Month: Kris Carr’s Green Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 avocado
- 1 – 2 pieces of low-glycemic fruit: green apple, pear, berries and cantaloupe
- 1 cucumber
- A fistful of kale or romaine or spinach
- Coconut water (or purified water)
- Stevia, to taste, and/or a sprinkle of cinnamon or some cacao (optional)
Directions:
- Blend ingredients in a high-powered blender.
This Month’s Recipe: Irish Coffee

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly brewed black coffee
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1.5 oz Irish whiskey
- Heavy cream, slightly whipped
Directions:
- Fill mug with hot water to preheat, then empty
- Pour ¾ of the coffee into the mug
- Blend in the whiskey
- Top with a collar of whipped cream by slowly pouring over the back of a spoon
